The Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Women - Art Bag Initiative
he COVID-19 pandemic has challenged educators, parents, and students as they continually reimagine ways to deliver and obtain a quality education. The 2020 theme of the Willingboro Board of Education is “Quality Education: A Community Commitment.” As part of the Christian community commitment the United Methodist Women of the Church of the Good Shepherd is leading an initiative to provide art supplies to students who are receiving virtual instruction due to COVID-19. There is “strong evidence that arts educational experiences can produce significant positive impacts on academic and social development.” The initial goal is to supply 500 art bags.
