"You are the light of the world. A city on top of a hill can’t be hidden." Matthew 5:14
About
The Church of the Good Shepherd is a historically African American congregation in the Wesleyan tradition. Members of our congregation are diverse and come from different countries in Africa and throughout the diaspora. Following the tradition of John Wesley who is known as the founder of Methodism, we embrace "practical divinity." This means that our behavior is shaped by putting faith and love into action. Mission Statement Our mission is to enable every person to become a faithful, empowered disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ- one soul at a time! Vision Statement We see the Church of the Good Shepherd as a church where all are welcome to grow in faith and love and to be a voice of hope in our community.
